Rental Unit Rules

Cottage/Cabin CHECK-IN time is 4 PM and CHECK OUT time is 11 AM.
***Pleas note: As of May 1st, 2022, cookware, tableware, microwave, toaster, and coffee makers are no longer available in our cabins and cottages.
Cabins and Cottages all have small kitchen areas with, sink, refrigerator and stove top (no oven.)***
SMOKING AND PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN RENTAL UNITS. $250 is charged for violation.
Removal of graffiti or cleanup an unnecessary discharge of the fire extinguisher will be charged $250 plus an hourly labor and handling fee.
Each unit contains tableware for the number of people the unit sleeps. See documentation in the unit for a description of commonly supplied items and furnishing and their replacement costs.
Should light bulbs or batteries expire, bring them to the office for a no cost replacement.
Do not allow children to play with dishes, pots and pans, silverware, or utensils outside or in the sand.
Do not place hot items directly on tables, counters, or furniture, always use a hot pad.
Pots and pans are for stovetop use only. Use only “Microwave” safe containers in microwave.
Wipe up cooking spills as soon as possible. To clean burnt-on food from the stove or pans use a damp paper towel and baking soda. Do not use scouring powders or scrubbing pads.
Do not hang towels or clothes on shower curtain rod — use towel bars or hooks. Do not use bath towels at beach, pool, or out of doors.
Review the procedures to open and close sofa before using sofa as a bed.
PLACE SHEETS ON BEDS BEFORE USE.
If you have rental linens and/or towels do not use them out of doors or to wipe up spills that can stain.
There is a handling fee of $50 plus the cost of cleaning when special cleaning techniques must be used to remove stains from items made with or from fabric, including rental linens and towels. The replacement cost will also be charged when soil or stains cannot be removed and the item must be replaced.
CHECK OUT TIME IS 11:00 AM MICHIGAN TIME FOR RENTAL UNITS
NO SMOKING, and NO PETS ALLOWED IN RENTAL UNITS.
A fee of $250 is charged for violation of this policy.
Before Checking Out
Cottage/Cabin must be returned to a clean condition.
- Wash dishes, tableware, and cookware.
- Wipe counters, table, chairs, stove/oven, and inside of refrigerator and microwave.
- Remove used coffee filters and coffee grounds from coffee maker.
- Shake rugs of dirt and sand and sweep floors.
- Set air conditioners to low. Do not turn off refrigerators or gas to stoves and water heaters.
- UNPLUG TOASTER AND COFFEE MAKER. Remove used coffee grounds from coffee maker.
- Close windows, turn off fans, TV/VCR/DVD’s and lights.
- Lock doors and return keys to the office.
- REMOVE ALL FOOD AND TRASH. Trash must be placed in a trash bag, tied, and disposed of in the dumpsters at the exit of the park. Do not put trash or discarded items in the fire ring. DO NOT BURN GARBAGE IN FIRE RING.
If you are using rental linens and/or towels; place all used sheets and towels in tub or shower and leave pillows and blankets on beds.
Failure to clean cottage/cabin could result in loss of some or all of the Cleaning/Security Deposit.
Cleaning/Security Deposit is refunded after cleaning and inspection of the unit and not at time of check-out. Refund of Cleaning/Security Deposit is issued by check within 7 days of check-out.
